Maki Naro
With over a decade of experience as a self-employed artist, Maki has placed himself at the forefront of using comics and illustration as a tool for science communication and education. He has created countless pieces for organizations such as The Nib, Knowable Magazine, Popular Science, The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Columbia University's Zuckerman Institute, Scripps, and Genentech.
Maki's works have appeared in print in books such as Guantanamo Voices: True Accounts from the World's Most Infamous Prison and Flash Forward: An Illustrated Guide to Possible (and Not So Possible) Tomorrows, From Abrams Books, Failure to Launch: A Tour of Ill-Fated Futures from Iron Circus Comics, and the Project Cryptid anthology series from AHOY! Comics.
He was also a frequent contributor to The Nib's Eisner-award-winning quarterly magazine.
